I love Norfolk. I love our history, our diversity, our unique neighborhoods, our waterfront and our urban core.  I love being able to walk or ride my bike to schools, shops, restaurants, cultural events, and places of worship.  Norfolk is an amazing place to live, work and raise a family.  That’s why my family chose to move to Norfolk more than a decade ago, and I can’t imagine living anywhere else.

I want more people, families and businesses to choose Norfolk.  In order to attract them -- and, keep those who are here -- I will focus on the following issues:

The future of Norfolk is dependent on the success of Norfolk Public Schools. Our real estate values, our economic development efforts and our future work force are all tied to NPS. Norfolk’s children deserve the best, and it is our responsibility to give it to them.

thriving with the water

Norfolk is surrounded by water, and we have the opportunity to create the "Coastal Community of the Future" over the next decade.  I will be actively focused on mitigating our flooding, activating our waterways, and ensuring we have clean and healthy water.

digital Norfolk

Norfolk must be a connected community that boasts a broadband infrastructure and utilizes innovative technology solutions to provide best-in-class services for citizens and businesses. I will encourage creative solutions using Open Data and entrepreneurial collaboration.
